Recording from dab radio via sd card to itunes 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Certain BBC Radio 4 broadcasts are not podcasts, I think for copyright reasons.

Looking at DAB radios, I have seen reference to SD cards on which radio programmes can be recorded to be listened to later.

My questions are:

1. Can such programmes once downloaded onto a SD card be input to itunes and then able to be listened to via an ipod?

Recording programmes which are non podcasts to an SD card and then downloading to an ipod seems to get round the non podcast problem re copyright or am I losing the plot? Various people I have spoken to mention the file format in which the BBC radio broadcast is output. If this is MP3, then transfer to itunes and then ipod seems to work.

2. If I buy a DAB radio with an ipod docking unit, can ALL radio programmes be transferred to the ipod whether they are podcasts or not.

Grateful for your thoughts

Hi

Interesting, i do this on my MAC via Eye TV - allows me to record TV as well as radio station available on free view.

This forum discussion would suggest what you want to do is possible... http://www.avforums.com/forums/dab-digital-radio-fm-radio/586863-recording-dab-internet-radio-via-epg.html

Good Luck

I would suggest that you research your second idea thoroughly, since I reckon those docks are radio input only.
